Kia EV3 Electric SUV Could Launch In The US!

Here’s everything we know about EV3’s proposed US entry

Not that the entire United States has been waiting for this EV to launch here, but some wished the Kia EV3 to reach American shores soon. They, now have good news! Motor1 in a report, states the manufacturer to have confirmed the entry-level electric SUV’s US debut. There is, however, no clear clue as to when the EV will hit the US markets, and how much it could cost in the country.

The best of rumours suggest the debut to happen sometime in late 2025, and the EV3 SUV could bear a price tag of around $30,000 in the US. The speculated launch timeline, if you’ve noticed already, is closer to the time when Rivian plans to bring in the R3.

Kia EV3: What To Expect?

While parts of its design could remind you of the Seltos, the Kia EV3 stands smaller in dimensions. It is in fact, 3.3 inches shorter than the Seltos and has a less imposing stance. The overall design encompasses Kia’s modern-day EV design ethos. You could spot cues from the larger EV9 and the more radical-looking EV6.

Kia would pack the production form of EV3 with features like two 12.3-inch touchscreens, optional HUD, Driver Assist tech, V2L abilities, steering-mounted paddle shifters that can be used to control the new one-pedal driving system- ‘i-Pedal 3.0’.

There is limited information available on EV3’s mechanical front. It will be based on the E-GMP platform, also found on the EV6, EV9, Hyundai IONIQ 5 etc. Expected are 58.0 kWh or 81.4 kWh battery packs which could deliver up to 350 miles in range. Kia EV3 is also expected to support up to 128 kW fast charging.
