Tata Punch Delivery Begins, Initial Lots Reach Their Owners

Tata Punch is an A-SUV based on the ALFA ARC

Tata Motors has begun deliveries of the all-new Punch. The initial lots of the SUV have now reached their owners in many parts of the country.

Priced between Rs 5.49 Lakh and Rs 9.09 Lakh (introductory ex-showroom price), the all-new Tata Motor’s Punch Micro SUV has entered the Indian market with quite a ‘punch’. The prices are said to witness an upward revision after December 31. The SUV comes in four variants; Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative. Also on offer are a few customization packages like Rhythm, Dazzle, and iRA costing in addition.

The Punch Micro SUV is Tata’s first SUV model based on the ALFA-ARC (Agile Light Flexible Advanced Architecture) platform and is also based on the brand’s Impact 2.0 design language. A recent crash test conducted by Global NCAP had given it a full 5-star rating. Even better, the Punch is now the safest car in India.

The highest-priced Creative variant (Rs 9.09 Lakh, ex-showroom) lives up to its value proportions with good equipment levels and rivals Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Swift, Mahindra KUV NXT, and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, which also falls in the same price cap. Offered with single and dual-tone color schemes and an overall design that can appeal to the masses, the Punch has a 1.2 L Revotron naturally aspirated petrol engine as its heart. More on these and how good/bad the Punch is, can be read in our first-drive review.
