Mahindra Treo Zor Crosses 1000 Units Sales Milestone

Mahindra Treo Zor has topped the segment in terms of sales in just 6 months of launch

Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd is witnessing immense traction in the commercial EV space. Not long ago had we reported their Treo electric three-wheeler (people carrier) recording sales of over 5000 units. Now, the Mahindra Treo Zor, or the cargo version of the Treo, has crossed the 1000 unit sales milestone in the country. The achievement comes in just 6 months of its launch, and the EV currently has around 59% of market share in its category.

The Treo Zor was launched in October 2020, as a sustainable last-mile delivery vehicle for the urban jungles. Built on Mahindra’s advanced electric three-wheeler platform- Treo, the cargo EV offers bigger savings to its customers. The platform as such has been designed and developed in India and underpins the people carrier as well.

The Treo Zor has a wheelbase of 2216mm, which is by far, the longest in the industry and large 30.48cm tyres. At 550 kilograms, the payload is the best in class too. The electric motor and the Lithium-ion battery pack of the Treo Zor can produce a good 8 kW and 42 Nm, providing for hassle-free cargo hauling. The transmission duties are handled by a clutchless automatic unit.

To ensure customer delight, Mahindra Electric is offering a 1.5 lakh km/ 3 years warranty on the warranty, with the provision of extending it by another 2 years/1 lakh km by the customer.
